National Train Day

A couple months back Girlfriend and I rode the train up north for my cousin's wedding shower. Ever since the boys have been asking about riding the train, too. We saw an add for National Train Day and made our plans. They were so excited!!!

May 7
6:30am Roll out of bed and drive to the train station.
7:30am Board train!!
10:00am Arrive at Union Station, downtown Chicago.
We enjoyed a K-9 unit demonstration, model train displays, learning about the new high-speed train line from St. Louis to Chicago, coloring and eating train cookies, singing and dancing with Mr. Singer and the Sharp Cookies, watching the clowns perform, and exploring the inside of some trains. We, also, took a walk over to the Sears Tower.
5:30pm Board the train for our ride back home.
We had a pretty tired crew after our long, fun day!

Very entertaining clowns. They loved all of the attention.

Willis Tower. It will always be the Sears Tower to me.
(I can't figure out why this one is coming up sideways.:))
